This romantic, secluded stone cottage is on the edge of a beech wood in the Toadsmoor valley below the village of Eastcombe. The nearest road stops at the hamlet of Bismore, where there is parking. Woodlands is reached by a footpath through the beech wood (about 200 yards).

Woodlands has two upstairs double bedrooms, one of which also has a 'put-u-up' single bed. Downstairs the main living area is open plan with an open log fire and stone floor. There is wide screen television with DVD and video but no broadcast reception. The kitchen and dining area has an electric cooker, fridge, and microwave. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer off the kitchen, and the bathroom opens off the utility room.

Outside there is an large area of decking with a barbeque in the summer months. The garden is wild and open to the woodland.

The cottage is available all year round, including winter weekends and short breaks.

40 minutes from the M4 (Junction 15), 15 minutes from the M5 (Junctions 11A or 13), 4.5 miles from Stroud mainline station (direct service from London Paddington)
a network of public footpaths provides walkers with easy access to the Toadsmoor valley and surrounding countryside.
Slad and the Woolpack Inn, of Laurie Lee fame, are less than 3 miles' walk with stunning views from Swifts Hill on the way. Other villages nearby are Bisley, Oakridge and France Lynch, all with pubs and good food.

Our normal weeks are from Friday afternoon to Friday morning the following week, but Saturday changeovers may also be possible.

The following prices apply for short breaks when available - based on the full week price quoted above. Mid-week breaks are Monday-Friday, weekend breaks Friday-Sunday/Monday.

£330 per week, 4-night mid-week break £240, 2/3-night weekend break £180/£210 (30pn)

£395 per week, 4-night mid-week break £295, 3-night weekend break £255 (40pn)

£450 per week, 4-night mid-week break £345, 3-night weekend break £295 (50pn)

£495 per week, 4-night mid-week break £360, 3-night weekend break £310 (50pn)

Prices shown in brackets are for each extra night, should this be required.

Prices are for up to four adults sleeping and include electricity, bed linen and towels. 20% non-returnable deposit payable on booking, balance due 6 weeks before start date. No refunds can be made after the final payment becomes due.

For bookings made within 6 weeks of the start date a discount of 15% may be given for bookings made for one couple only (two adults sleeping - one bed). This discount is not available during the winter months (November - February).

Cot and high chair available by arrangement.
