Dating from about 1650 with many original features, Bismore Cottage is an attractive Cotswold stone cottage in the hamlet of Bismore in the Toadsmoor Valley. Outside it has a terrace and garden with a lovely view down the valley. Bismore is on a quiet lane less than 5 minutes walk from Eastcombe village.

The accommodation consists of a living room with sofas and open log fire, a dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor there is a bathroom, a separate toilet and two double bedrooms. The spiral staircase is short but steep. A baby's cot is also available by arrangement. This charming cottage is traditionally furnished but has all modern comforts. There is WiFi, FreeSat TV and a DVD player. Oil fired central heating. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Eastcome has a village shop and post office. There is a village pub, the Lamb Inn, with good food. Stroud, the main town, is just over four miles away with an excellent farmers' market on Saturdays as well as interesting independent shops and three supermarkets.

The cottage is available all year round, including winter weekends and short breaks.

• 40 minutes from the M4 (Junction 15), 20 minutes from the M5 (Junction 13), 4.5 miles from Stroud mainline station (direct service from London Paddington)
• a network of public footpaths provides walkers with easy access to the surrounding valleys, commons and countryside

• within easy reach of Gatcombe, Badminton, Tetbury, Cirencester, Cheltenham and Bath

Our normal weeks are from Friday afternoon to Friday morning the following week, but Saturday changeovers may also be possible.

The following prices apply for short breaks when available - based on the full-week price quoted above. Mid-week breaks are Monday-Friday, weekend breaks Friday-Sunday/Monday. Other days may be available by arrangement.

Prices shown in brackets are for each extra night, should this be required.

Prices are for up to four adults sleeping and include bed linen and towels.

A baby cot is available by prior arrangement at a cost of £15 and this is payable in cash on arrival.

Prices include electricity, heating and an initial supply of logs.

20% non-returnable deposit payable on booking, balance due six weeks before start date. No refunds can be made after the final payment becomes due.

A 15% discount may be offered for bookings within 6 weeks of the start date when the cottage will be used by one couple only (two adults sleeping - one bed) - this discount is not available during the winter months (November - February).
